Tomorrow, our streets will be buzzing with trick or treaters, and our kids will be experiencing the joy of sugar highs. I wish all parents and teachers the best of luck as we get through this week. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups have always been my personal favorite!
It’s been a while since we sent out a monthly newsletter. The Wellness Connection has been undergoing some transitions, so I wanted to take this opportunity to explain to you why we are making these changes and how we hope it will allow us to better serve you, our clients.
You may have noticed that we no longer have front desk receptionists. We were experiencing a few challenges that motivated us to look at alternative solutions. Because we often deal with crisis, it was incredibly important to us that every call get answered by a live person who can handle any request on the spot. We know voicemail can be so frustrating, and against our best efforts, there are certain times of day where our call volume spikes. We are very excited about the team of specialists who have been selected to work with our clients – they know our practice and they are prepared to handle all your questions, day or night, even on holidays. This gives us tremendous peace of mind.
Scheduling was another challenge we faced and our front receptionists only knew a small snapshot of our therapist’s schedule. We recently asked our clients to start working directly with their therapists on any schedule changes, so we can ensure we get our clients in when they want to be seen. My clients have expressed really liking the ability to work directly with me and have been experiencing less scheduling conflict. We hope you all feel the same.
Lastly, our new patients have asked to talk directly with their new therapist before their first scheduled appointment, and this really made sense to us. It can be incredibly difficult to decide on the right fit for your family, so we have asked all our clinicians to complete an intake with any new patient before they arrive, so rapport can start to be established and you can feel comfortable with the recommendation.
We just recently started with these changes, and we continue to get positive feedback from our clients, so please let me know if you experience any challenges. We are committed to making your experience with the Wellness Connection a positive one.
That is all the updates we have for now. We appreciate you trusting us with your care, and we look forward to working with your family to help you on your path to overall well-being.
Take good care and enjoy all the beauty that comes with the Fall season!
