Understand, Accept and Cope with Emotions
Based on the popular summer movie, this 8-week Inside Out Group will help high schoolers (boys and girls) learn more about the role of their emotions, and how to accept and cope with them. Teenagers will be able to look at the behaviors they use to hide their emotions and how that impacts school, friendships and family relationships. This awareness will allow teenagers to understand their emotions before being challenged with changing their approach.
This is an 8-week course for high school-aged girls and boys. The cost of the group is $320. The groups are led by Denisha Johnson, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Director of the Ashburn Wellness Connection location. This group is on Tuesdays, starting April 18th at 6pm at our Ashburn location.
The Wellness Connection is thrilled to have Denisha Johnson as part of our team! Although Denisha is an excellent therapist that can work with many issues, she is particularly skilled in working with middle school and high school teens. In addition to providing individual and family counseling, Denisha also provides group counseling services for high school teens in the Stone Ridge and Ashburn area. (Read more about Denisha HERE.)
