I enjoy working with adults and couples and treat a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, relationship issues, somatic pain, and trauma. From my personal experiences I have learned how important it is to understand the causes of our current behaviors and how challenging it can be to express emotions suppressed over a lifetime. From my professional experience as a long-time university professor, I understand how anxiety and emotional dysregulation can hinder progress in school and work, and how addressing and working through these issues can lead to betterment in all areas of life. Ultimately I want to help you relate to yourself and others as authentically as possible.

In my sessions I use an integrative approach, pulling from a variety of theories and models depending on the needs of my clients. At the heart of my process is attention to underlying issues and anxiety regulation. By recognizing and working through core issues, clients can alter harmful emotional, cognitive, and behavioral patterns. First and foremost I want you be empowered and find control in your life. Every single person is different, and so I want to learn about you and how you specifically can navigate a path towards growth and consistent self-care.
I offer a welcoming space for all people. I practice under the supervision of Casey Sarafinas, LPC.
