Catherine is an Advanced Certified Autism Specialist (ACAS) and behavioral therapist who works with both neurotypical and neurodivergent children, teens, and young adults. Catherine attended the Catholic University of America where she studied psychology and graduated with honors and distinction, before earning her Masters of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from Northeastern University. Throughout her studies, Catherine worked with advocacy groups and research organizations in order to better understand the challenges those with autism and other developmental disabilities face and how to apply those lessons outside of the classroom.
With an avidity for using positivity and encouragement, Catherine strongly believes personalized programming and goal setting are necessities for cultivating the abilities children, adolescents, and young adults already have. Through her prior experience at multiple behavioral consulting firms working with clients of varying skill levels and ages, she has learned that promoting inclusion and independence is essential in working towards sustained wellbeing.
Catherine brings specialized expertise to the Wellness Connection in autism spectrum disorder, applied behavior analysis, and behavioral challenges, with areas of focus including verbal behavior, functional communication training, play skills, social skills, organization, and transition supports.
In addition to the field of behavior, Catherine’s other passions lie in traveling, gluten-free baking, historical fiction novels, and her chocolate lab mix, Wendell.
