Behavioral Therapy and Autism Services:
Behavioral therapy at The Wellness Connection employs a collaborative approach utilizing the core principles of applied behavioral analysis, namely positive reinforcement and behavioral function identification, natural environment teaching, person centered planning, and TEACCH to promote behavioral health and wellbeing.
We also specialize in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, and the commonly associated challenges in socialization, communication, and sensory processing. The CDC estimates that 1 in 59 children have ASD, while 1 in 6 have been diagnosed with a developmental disability. However, one does not need to have a diagnosis in order to benefit from behavioral therapy, especially here at the Wellness Connection where all forms of neurodiversity are celebrated.
Behavioral therapy services are offered for children as young as two, teens, young adults, and parents for consultation and guidance. Core strategies can be tailored and applied to fit unique needs and improve overall functioning in social, emotional, academic, and daily living spheres for persons of all ages and abilities.
